Zoomcar’s expanding Kubernetes services generated a large volume of logs, necessitating a scalable, high-performance log aggregation system. Real-time monitoring and analysis were critical for quick issue detection, especially during peak periods. Logs required efficient lifecycle management, balancing immediate operational insights with archiving needs for compliance, to minimize costs while ensuring accessibility.
• Fluent Bit was deployed across Kubernetes clusters to collect logs generated by various services. These logs were forwarded to Amazon OpenSearch, where they were indexed and made available for querying and analysis.
• Amazon OpenSearch served as the core component for log storage and analysis. Logs were indexed in near real-time, allowing for immediate search and retrieval by the operations team. The Amazon OpenSearch ISM (Index State Management) feature was leveraged to automate the lifecycle of logs, optimizing both storage and access performance.
• Using Amazon OpenSearch Dashboards, the DevOps and engineering teams were able to visualize the logs, monitor application health, identify patterns, and troubleshoot errors through custom-built dashboards.
The solution enhanced log ingestion speed, reduced incident resolution time by 75%, cut storage costs by 30%, and scaled seamlessly to provide real-time insights for improved operational efficiency.
