The client needed a solution to automate the generation of Entity-Relationship Diagrams (ERD) from complex schema data and simplify query creation for platforms like Salesforce and Snowflake, as the manual process was inefficient and lacked scalability.
• The client’s schema data is uploaded as CSV to Amazon S3 with encryption for security.
• An AWS IAM user is created for developers to manage access and permissions.
• AWS Lambda processes the CSV, converting it to JSON and storing it in a designated S3 folder.
• AWS Lambda generates ERD relationships from the JSON schema and stores them in another S3 folder.
• Metadata, including the customer’s name and S3 location, is saved in an Amazon RDS database.
• A second Lambda function triggers, generating platform-specific queries and storing them in Amazon DynamoDB.
• Users retrieve queries via Amazon API Gateway by providing the correct payload.
