HCSSPL’s eKYC application faced security concerns due to limited access controls and the absence of advanced measures like WAF. Scalability was hindered by inefficient resource management and a monolithic infrastructure, while operational overheads included manual backups and a lack of managed databases. The absence of automated monitoring and logging tools also compromised system observability, highlighting the need for migration to AWS.
• Amazon Route 53 efficiently routes client traffic to the appropriate AWS resources.
• The architecture uses Amazon VPC with public and private subnets; public subnets host the NAT Gateway and Bastion Server for secure access.
• Private subnets house Amazon EC2 instances and Amazon RDS (MySQL) with Multi-AZ deployment for high availability.
• AWS WAF protects against malicious traffic, and AWS IAM controls access permissions.
• Amazon CloudWatch monitors system performance while AWS CloudTrail logs account activities.
• AWS Backup automates data backups to Amazon S3, ensuring redundancy and quick recovery.
• The setup handles dynamic workloads for optimal eKYC performance.
• Public subnets host an ALB to distribute traffic to Amazon EC2 instances and Amazon RDS for database management.
