The customer faces challenges with the high cost of their QlikSense subscription and poorly handled data. They need a more cost-effective solution ensuring effective data processing and quality visualization.
• We implemented an automated data processing pipeline using AWS services.
• Amazon S3 serves as the central data repository where Excel files are uploaded after being received from the customer.
• AWS Glue is employed to automatically trigger ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) jobs whenever new data is uploaded to Amazon S3. These jobs clean the data, convert it to a Parquet format, and store it back in Amazon S3 for efficient querying.
• Amazon Athena is used as a serverless query service to analyze the processed data stored in Amazon S3.
• Amazon QuickSight is leveraged to create and update interactive dashboards based on the data queried by Amazon Athena, providing real-time insights.
Reduced costs by 30% through Amazon QuickSight migration, cut data cleaning effort by 70% with AWS Glue, and enhanced validation and dashboard accuracy with Amazon Athena.
